The first month of 2018 is over and it got me thinking about how much I actually achieved last year. How many opportunities I had, how much I grew my blog and at the time you don’t even think about it! I definitely had some big blogging moments and wanted to share with you my 6 top from 2017 which show if you work hard and be consistent you will get results.
1. My Top Blogging Moment of 2017
So my most ‘pinch me’ moment would have to be towards the end of the year an email landed in my inbox what I thought was your average newsletter type email from a brand. In fact it was their PR team emailing to work with me. This brand is my absolute favourite and I have been shopping with them for years so I was absolutely over the moon when Jo Malone contacted me. If you know me you will know I am obsessed with their perfumes and other beauty products, like to the point where I could probably work for them and name every single scent! Dreams really do come true girls! You can see my beginners guide to Jo Malone here.
2. Working with Who What Wear
I worked with Who What Wear the biggest online fashion website there is. I produced content for a collaboration with themselves and Matalan another high street favourite of mine. I have been reading Who What Wear for a few years so this was a massive achievement for me.
3. My First Press Trip Abroad
I was taken on my first ever press trip to Amsterdam in the summer with the lovely Bloom On team. I always buy flowers for myself each week so this was literally a dream! You can read all about what we got up to here.
4. The start of Chelcie Nicole M Ltd
So last year was the first year that I started earning from my blog and social channels. This is a massive thing in the blogging industry right now and knowing your worth is so important. The hours it takes to create content and also the cost of hiring a photographer and travel expenses etc can add up very quickly. So Chelcie Nicole M Ltd was created – my very own business! Eeeek!
5. Hosting a Mask Masterclass with The Body Shop
I hosted a mask masterclass at The Body Shop in Birmingham (my home city.) It was so refreshing to be contacted by a company who host events not JUST in London. As I live just outside of Birmingham this was perfect and being able to do something like this with an amazing brand was even better.
6. London Fashion Week
