Saying Goodbye To SummerSaying Goodbye to Summer

It’s that time of year again, the nights starting getting darker earlier, it’s not warm enough to go out on an evening wearing your holiday clothes and the shops are full of Christmas gifts. In a blink of an eye, what summer we had is almost over. I think I can count on one hand times I’ve been able to sunbathe in the garden and we have definitely seen more rain than needed, but this summer has been a mixture of both amazing and awful experiences.

My Summer Experiences

Lets get the bad over and done with. My grandad who had been fighting cancer sadly passed away in June which was, and still is, upsetting for our family. He passed away peacefully and how he wanted to and had lived a very good life but this has still been hard to deal with. We then got news that my other grandad isn’t very well. His condition is treatable but has still been a big worry for us.

I guess the amazing and awful experiences have to balance each other. This summer I was lucky enough to go on holiday abroad twice, go on my first ever press trip to Amsterdam and I also got engaged! I am so grateful for all the exciting opportunities I have had this summer and ready to take on the rest of 2017.

Let me know what exciting experiences you have had this summer I would love to hear them below!
