Welcome to my Dressing room! We’ve been in our house almost a year now and as soon as we moved in I wanted everything decorated and finished asap. Christmas soon rolled round and our priorities were different. You can read my first interior update here and as we moved in with all the walls painted and floor down, it was just the decor we needed to do. I would say from January this year we haven’t done much more to the house, just little things here and there. So the past few months I’ve been working on updating my dressing/blogging room. This room is on the third floor of our house and has the best velux window ever. It makes the room so nice and bright – perfect for getting ready in and also working in.
The Dressing Room
I shown the girls at work these pictures and they were like ‘Chelcie it’s like a showroom, there’s no mess.’ I hadn’t tided up for the photo’s this is literally how the house is all the time, I just can’t stand mess and clutter! This rail, which was a bargain from IKEA is where I put my newest pieces. Items which I either need to shoot for my blog or If I have an event or holiday coming up, I like to keep these outfits separate to my normal wardrobe.

If you are a make up lover, a jewellery lover, or a beauty lover you NEED a Clutterbox. I have always loved the smaller versions of this, and it was only recently I knew that you can even get ones this big. It’s the ultimate box to keep everything separate and also look cute too. I’ve filled mine with a mixture of make up and jewellery. The top 3 drawers have 9 sections where I have put necklaces/ bracelets to stop them getting tangled up.
If you had seen my previous interior post you will know that I LOVE prints! The whole house is full of typography prints, photo prints, any type of print you can think of. Desenio is definitely one of my favourite places to shop house prints. They have so much choice and so many different designs, hence why my house is full of them because I can never decide. For the revamp of my dressing room I wanted some prints which were quite classic styles. However I did have to get a few of the new blackboard style prints which I love!
I wanted to keep all my Jo Malone products together and a jewellery tray does just that. This tray is from H&M and was only £12.99 in the sale and looks perfect on my dressing table.
