Telling your personal story through Jewellery
Getting my personal style and individuality across through fashion is something which is essential in my day to day outfits. Wearing things which really represent my style and not just wearing it because everyone else has it, is key to showcasing your personality. It doesn’t just stop as clothing, jewellery can tell it’s very own story too & tell you a lot about a person.
Personalise your Jewellery with Links of London
When Links of London challenged me to create my very own personalised story through their statement Sweetie bracelet I couldn’t wait to get started! I have a very simplistic taste in jewellery and as you probably all know by now, the majority of my jewellery collection is silver. So of course I chose the sterling silver Sweetie bracelet in a size small. There is an option to add different coloured rings onto the bracelet, however I wanted to create a very minimal, classic looking design.
Why I chose these charms
Now time for the fun part, the personalisation! I really wanted the design to show snippets of my life through the charms, so I was very selective as to which ones I chose. I first of all chose the Sterling Silver initial charm ‘C’. Anything with my initials on I love. What could be more personal to you than your name, but having just the first initial gives it an elegant touch. The second charm I chose was the 18kt White Gold Wish Upon A Star charm. A lot has changed in my life in the past year and without really taking a risk or a chance on something, it would have never have happened. You can see my post here about the change in my life. I truly believe that you can do anything you put your mind to, and this little star charm reminds me of that every day. The final charm I chose was the Sterling Silver Sapphire & Blue Topaz Evil Eye Charm. With a lot of negative, awful things going on in the world today the eye wards away evil and keeps you protected. There has also been a lot of negative things happen in my life over the past year with a close family member becoming very ill, so this little charm might bring me some luck for the rest of 2017!
How I Styled my Sweetie Bracelet
Picking out the blue topaz detail rom the evil eye charm I opted for a very blue simplistic look. Keeping the bracelet at the forefront of the styling by wearing the bracelet on the sleeveless arm to make it stand out. This is definitely a classic, staple piece of jewellery which I’ll be wearing from day to night too!
